In order to get his inheritance, the grandson (Jason) must go through a series of "gifts." The rebellious Jason fights it at first, but as the movie progresses, he starts to change. Part of the change he encounters is due to him meeting a young girl (Emily) and her mother.
The story pulls at the heart strings, as they say. The characters are unforgetable. And while not packed with action or suspense, the movie does move along at a good pace.
The Ultimate Gift came out in 2006. It is rated 7.2 on IMDB.
